How Ashley Transformed Her Lifestyle and Lost Over 20 Pounds with FAT LOSS LIFESTYLE SCHOOL: A Client Success Story

We first worked with Ashley in our Spring 2024 FAT LOSS LIFESTYLE SCHOOL. After completing the 6-week program, she joined our STRONGER TOGETHER Training Club and continued with the nutrition, workouts, and lifestyle habits she started in FLLS.

When she recently shared this photo (below) comparing her first day of school last year vs. this year (she's a school social worker), I HAD to reach out and see if she'd share more about her transformation!

What is the biggest difference in how you FEEL when you compare today vs. a year ago?

Knowledge is power, and I now know that it is possible for me to look and feel great! I feel so much more comfortable in my skin, and I now have the ability and the knowledge to tackle fat loss.

It was challenging to be someone who really focused on eating healthy and exercising, but still feels uncomfortable in my clothes.

At this time last year, I had gained extra weight, but thought I was doing all the right things by exercising a lot and eating healthy. I even scheduled a PCP visit to have tests done, because I thought something had to be wrong.

I signed up for Spring 2024 FAT LOSS LIFESTYLE SCHOOL in March and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I learned that while I was eating healthy and had a healthy lifestyle, I wasn’t eating and exercising in the best way for fat loss.

Before FLLS, what other methods did you try to lose weight and why were those unsuccessful?

I've spent the majority of my adult life trying to find something that works to lose weight.

I used to do Isagenix, but that was not sustainable because it is so low calorie, and expensive. It helped me get to my strongest and lowest weight, but then I got Lyme Disease, lost all my muscle, and gained the weight back.

I’ve done several Whole30’s, thinking that was the best way to tackle weight loss. While I am grateful for Whole30 because it taught me how to cook, and to focus on cooking with whole and natural foods, I now know that it isn't a fat loss program.

Group fitness classes used to be my main form of workouts, but I wasn't seeing the results I wanted.

I was doing "all the things" - just not the right things.

You're a school social worker and you're starting a new school year. What are some new daily/weekly habits you're doing this year? In other words, what does your "school year strategy/system" look like for staying healthy and fit?

One of the biggest changes from last year to this year is incorporating daily walks and mapping out my workouts at the beginning of the week.

My days tend to be a bit chaotic and crisis-oriented, and working out after school works best for me. It’s the best form of stress relief! I now do the STRONGER TOGETHER Training Club workouts and incorporate daily walks instead of trying to go to as many group fitness classes as possible. I still love doing the Hot Power Yoga classes at my gym, but I stick to STRONGER TOGETHER for weight training. I’ve been batch cooking for at least the past 5 years, but the biggest change this year is having 4 meals a day. Prepping my 3rd meal - a protein yogurt parfait - has been the biggest game changer for me! I look forward to eating it right after our kids are dismissed, and it keeps me full and fueled for my workouts. I’m also making an effort to eat meals at regular times. Because I’m a school social worker and not a teacher, it’s harder for me to have a regular schedule. In the past, I've hardly ever “taken lunch; I'd have to eat with my students or would miss lunch because of a crisis. This year I am making an effort to take a lunch, and if there’s a crisis, I just literally eat my meals when walking in the hallways! ;)

You've lost 20 pounds since you did FAT LOSS LIFESTYLE SCHOOL in March. What would you tell other women struggling with weight loss?

From FLLS, I lost around 13 lbs. Then I signed up for the 30-day FAT LOSS ACCELERATOR (FLA) program in May and lost 7 more. I've lost another pound since I took that photo, so 21 lbs. so far!

I'm so happy to share my story! I have been raving about the program to others and am hoping a friend will do the September one! I truly am so grateful I’ve found something that works. After finishing FLA, I am going to go back to Maintenance, and then tackle another Fat Loss Phase. I’m really grateful for you and all of the coaches.
